Iana is an illustrator and ceramicist based in Suffolk, creating decorative ceramics with a kitschy, cutesy aesthetic. After discovering pottery during her Design degree at Goldsmiths, University of London, she taught herself on the university's wheels and interned at Cernamic studio in Hackney. Now back in Suffolk, she works as a technician and tutor at her local pottery studio, teaching throwing and handbuilding while developing her own practice. Her work focuses on whimsical animal illustrations - cats being a particular obsession - and draws heavily from childhood nostalgia, bringing a playful, illustrative sensibility to functional and decorative ceramic pieces.
